What is Hydrotherapy?

Hydrotherapy involves movement in warm water to treat osteoarthritis, orthopaedic conditions, neurological conditions and soft tissue injuries.

Research has shown that movement enrichment techniques and therapeutic handling as part of hydrotherapy encourages a full range of joint motion in reduced weight bearing conditions. This improves muscle tone and promotes tissue repair without exerting any strain on the joints.

Swimming also  improves general fitness and cardiovascular stamina and is also helpful in aiding recovery from injury or surgery and is also effective in the management of obesity.
