Veterinary Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is the treatment of injury, disease, or deformity through physical methods rather than medication or surgery. At our rehabilitation centre, each canine or feline physiotherapy session begins with a comprehensive physical assessment to identify not only the primary problem but also any compensatory issues that may be contributing to discomfort.

Your Pets Session
Assessment
This assessment includes:
-
Observation of stance, posture, and conformation
-
Gait analysis to evaluate movement patterns
-
Palpation (hands-on examination) of soft tissues and joints
-
Functional tasks such as stepping over obstacles or jumping, where appropriate
The goal is to gain a full understanding of your pet’s condition so we can deliver a tailored treatment plan.

Additional Services Provided Within Physiotherapy Sessions
Home Exercise Plans
At the end of each session, you will receive a personalised programme of exercises and treatments to continue your pet’s progress between visits. We demonstrate every exercise before you leave, ensuring you feel confident carrying them out at home.
Kinesio-Taping
This specialised tape supports muscles and joints without restricting movement. Made from cotton with elastic properties, it adheres well even to fur and can remain in place for up to three days, providing ongoing therapeutic benefit.
Cart Fitting
For pets with permanent mobility loss due to conditions such as Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) or degenerative disease, we can trial rear-end and quad carts during sessions. This allows both you and your pet to assess comfort and suitability before ordering. We assist with measuring, ordering, and fitting bespoke carts.
Braces & Orthotic Fitting
For certain injuries, additional support may be needed. We advise on suitable orthotic products, take accurate measurements, arrange ordering, and ensure correct fitting for optimal support.
Professional Standards
All our Veterinary Physiotherapists are fully qualified and registered with The National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP), ensuring the highest standards of care, ethics, and ongoing professional development.
